Content Operations Internship
TVF International, the UK’s leading distributor of award-winning factual programming to the international market, is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Content Operations team on a part-time, 3-month basis.
Our catalogue encompasses everything from factual entertainment and lifestyle series to exceptional one-off documentaries, representing some of the most innovative and creative producers from across the globe.
As a Content Operations Intern, you will assist with a variety of key tasks to support the smooth running of our broadcaster deliveries and media assets management. Your responsibilities will involve everything from metadata assistance to marketing materials creation. You’ll work closely with our experienced team to ensure that our content and supporting materials are properly managed, organised, and distributed to key international broadcast networks and streamers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Populate and update metadata for online broadcast deals.
- Assist in maintaining TVF’s master metadata document, ensuring it is complete and up-to-date with key programme information.
- Write synopses for individual titles and episodes, adhering to specific character limit requirements for different clients.
- Help create promotional materials and artwork for royalty deals alongside our marketing team.
- Organise and maintain our master files database and accounts to ensure all assets are easily accessible.
- File and track supporting materials received from producers for new programmes.
- Review and check transcripts, adding timecodes to individual lines where necessary.
- Assist with identifying suitable subtitling companies, transcription, and translation services.
- Support the delivery process for new materials.
We’re looking for candidates with an excellent academic background, who are able to demonstrate a passion for broadcast and web media, documentary programming and content creation. The successful candidate will also have excellent organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office. A good understanding of basic metadata practises and common digital file formats would be advantageous. You must be immediately available for this position.
This internship will be paid national minimum wage, and will last for 3 months, with the possibility of extension. The role will be based in our London office in Angel, and will require 16 hours a week – the equivalent of 2 full days or 4 half days.
