TVF Arts
Senior Digital Marketing Executive
This is a remarkable opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a rapidly expanding and unique organisation – the Institute of Art and Ideas.
Described by The Guardian as “the return to big thinking” and by Total Politics as “Europe’s answer to TED,” the Institute of Art and Ideas (IAI) is home to IAI.tv, a leading educational platform delivering high-quality video lectures, debates, and courses from the world’s foremost thinkers, scientists, artists, and policymakers. Alongside its digital platform, the IAI curates HowTheLightGetsIn, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival, bringing its mission of accessible thought and dialogue to live audiences.
This role will span a number of projects, including IAI.tv – a one-of-a-kind media outlet and home to thousands of videos, articles, courses, and events – and HowTheLightGetsIn Festival. The role will focus particularly on HowTheLightGetsIn, helping to promote its programme, grow its audience, and drive ticket sales.
The successful applicant will take responsibility for a wide range of digital marketing activity, including social media, email marketing, SEO, copywriting, and content creation. You will help plan and deliver campaigns, contribute to PR activity, and use performance data to improve marketing and ticket sales.
Applicants should have a few years’ experience in digital marketing and be able to demonstrate successful campaigns, ideally with evidence of growing an audience or driving sales. You should be an excellent verbal and written communicator, with the ability to write short, accessible, and engaging copy. Experience with analytics software such as Google Analytics would be highly advantageous.
Exceptional academic results (minimum 2.1 from a top university) is essential. Some background in philosophy is highly desirable. We recommend candidates view IAI.tv content prior to interview, as we are looking for someone who understands our ideas well enough to market them successfully.
You will need to adapt your style to suit different circumstances and audiences, and respond effectively to web and campaign performance data. The role requires intellectual rigour, creativity, and the ability to take ownership of campaigns. Above all, we are looking for someone with flair and drive who is excited by the work of the IAI and HowTheLightGetsIn.
At the IAI, we are focused on supporting your career progression and wellbeing. In joining our team, you will become eligible for a range of benefits, including our pension scheme, private healthcare insurance cashback scheme, hybrid working, Cycle to Work, frequent company socials and biannual parties, gym and HowTheLightGetsIn festival ticket discounts, and more.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace, and actively support and encourage people from a variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skill sets to join us and help shape what we do.
